MSc Microsystems Engineering
I completed my MSc in Microsystems Engineering from Heriot-Watt University in November 2003. The most exciting thing about the MSc programme is that it is delivered by top class lecturers and scientists in Microsystems technology. The course is very industry focused, at the same time providing a comprehensive training for students who want to pursue further research.
I wanted to pursue a career that deals with commercialisation of Micro technology. The course provided me with the perfect opportunity for developing technical as well as the business skills required in the Microsystems field. The programme not only exposed me to the latest cutting edge technologies in this field, but also helped me to develop a clear understanding of the commercial aspects of this technology. Currently, I am working as a researcher for TFI Ltd, based in Cambridge. My work includes undertaking research and strategic analysis in Micro and Nanotechnology.
